DescriptionInfant's long, white cotton dress, with a V-shaped yoke in front, decorated with whitework embroidery and an insertion of bobbin lace. The yoke is straight across the back. There is another strip of lace insertion along the shoulderline. The neckline is high and round and edged with a bobbin lace ruffle. The armscyes are piped. The long sleeves are gathered into the armhole and into a cuff of whitework embroidery trimmed with bobbin lace. The dress is gathered by pintucks into the yoke. The three-inch-deep hem is decorated with featherstitching along the top. The center back opening is about fourteen inches long and fastens in the yoke area with three thread-covered buttons.
