Stenciled on the shop window are the words: "W.C. Marsh / Auctioneer." Other signs read: "Ask / for it" and "Sale." Items on display include a Windsor chair and an upholstered armchair on a table covered with a patterned cloth.A small boy on a tricycle is on the sidewalk in the foreground beside a statue representing an African American stable boy, probably intended for use as a garden decoration or hitching post.
