DescriptionTwo-story brick commercial building with an elaborate cornice and an arched doorway. Signs beneath the pediment read: "Rebuilt / 1890 / Worthington /Block / 1883." A sign on a column by the door reads: "Mrs. M.I. Whit... / Milliners / Upstairs." Signs on the awnings read: "F.W. Smith" "Bakery." Fruits or vegetables are displayed in baskets on the steps of the store at the left and in the shop windows. A lamp, probably an oil lamp, hangs in the right window.A man and a boy, both wearing aprons, stand in the door of the shop at the right. A lantern on a pole, presumably used as a street lamp, and three hitching posts are in front of the building. A picket gate is at the right.
