DescriptionMan dressed as Santa Claus with a white false beard stands in wagon drawn by a horse. A second man, wearing a top hat, sits beside him. Horse and wagon are decorated with small American flags. The wagon is loaded with chairs. Signs on the wagon read: "S.A. Griswold House Furnishings / Branford." The wagon is in front of a three-story masonry commercial building painted in contrasting colors. Signs on it read: "1897" "Griswold Block" "Carpets - Furniture Stores - Offices" "S.A. Griswold" "Pictures / Taken / Evenings / By / Electric Light." Toy wagons and rocking horses are displayed on the sidewalk. Photographs are displayed on boards at the right. Three small boys stand near a utility pole.
