DescriptionTwo young men and two young women are assembled outdoors in a garden. The men wear coats, vests, tight-fitting trousers, and loose neckties. The women wear dresses trimmed with lace and flowers, probably artificial flowers. The woman on the left wears jewelry, a necklace and a bracelet. The man on the left is playing a flute. The woman on the right is playing a guitar. Her foot rests on an upholstered footstool. The other man and woman hold music books. A fountain is in the right background surrounded by trees and bushes. Flowers probably include roses, in the left foreground, and hollyhocks, in the left background. Roses also grow in an ornmental urn on a stone wall in the left background.
