DescriptionBrick commercial building undergoing demolition. A horse-drawn wagon loaded with bricks and rubble is at the right. Other horse-drawn wagons emerge from irregular holes in the brick walls of the mill. One workman holds a shovel. A small boy in knickers looks on. The street is dirt with paved sidewalks. The Park River, not visible, is located immediately behind the building.
NotesSubject Note: The flour, grain and feed mill of Leonard Daniels was located at 40 Elm Street as early as the 1840s. It was later known as the Daniels Mill Company. The building was torn down in 1913 and the property used for park purposes.
