DescriptionConnecticut Courant Building at 64 State Street. Other businesses in the building include "C.M Gaines / Printing of all kinds" "Clapp & Treat Hardware," "Otis Elevator Company." A flag flies from the top of the building. The white building under construction at the left is the Princess Theatre. Men and horses are in front of the building. Utility poles and wires line the street.
NotesSubject Note: Charles M. Gaines, a printer, and the Otis Elevator Co. were at 66 State Street. Clapp & Treat, Inc. at 68 State Street, dealt in hardware, seeds, and agricultural implements. George I. Clapp was president of the company. Irving C. Treat was treasurer.
