DescriptionTwo men sit at a long table covered with papers and books. They wear suits and bow ties. One man has a beard. A large desk with pigeonholes is in the left background. A frame containing several small portraits and a map hang above it. Bookcases with glass doors are in the right background. Coats, a bowler hat and a top hat rest on what appears to be a card catalogue. A door with a transom above it is at the far right. A covered typewriter is on an iron stand in the right foreground. Light fixtures hang from the ceiling.
NotesSubject Note: The lawyer's last name is illegible and may not be J. L. Hamilton. Hamilton does not appear as a lawyer in Willimantic in 1899, but John L. Hunter does.
