DescriptionMen and women stand in front of a shop in a frame commercial building. Most of the women wear aprons. One man wears overalls. The man at the right wears a suit and a bowler hat and stands beside a high wheel bicycle. Another bicycle leans against the building. The man on the left wears a jacket and cap and has a mustache. Signs on the shop read: "Hartford French Laundry." A sign on the awning above the door reads: "172 L.J. Martel 172." A stone building, possibly a church, is on the left behind an iron fence.
NotesSubject Note: Louis J. Martel operated a laundry at 172 Main Street and an intelligence office at 188 Main Street.
