DescriptionView looking north on Main Street, near Atheneum Street. New trolley tracks are being laid down the middle of the road. Piles of dirt and stone are on either side of the tracks. Two trolleys are further up the road. Horse-drawn wagons are in the street and pedestrians are on the sidewalk. Utility poles and wires line the street. A wheelbarrow is in the foreground. An iron fence is at the right. The large brick building has a sign: "Employment Office." Part of the Wadsworth Atheneum is visible beside it. The large light-colored building farther up the street behind a tree is the Aetna Life Insurance Company.
