DescriptionSubjects include the ruins of the Farmington Canal aqueduct prior to the 1955 Flood; the Connecticut State Capitol and Connecticut State Library, including an aerial view with snow on the ground; Woodridge Lake; one of the West Hartford reservoirs; the Joseph Conrad going through the Mystic River drawbridge and arriving at Mystic Seaport; and Trinity College Chapel. Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood are shown at their Newington home, standing beside a tree that was cut down to provide lumber for the rebuilding of the steeple of the Old North Church in Boston. A view of a brick business block in West Hartford includes an early Stop and Shop supermarket, Pascos, the Maison de Linge, and Chez Helene.
