DescriptionWorkmen pose on top of the third story of a building under construction. Some wear overalls. Several cranes are atop the building. Some men stand on partially completed brick walls and what appear to be steel girders. Building materials, including lumber and blocks of stone, are piled around the site. The facade incorporates Ionic columns, pilasters and pediments. The date "1869" appears above the entrance, surrounded by carved oak leaves.
