DescriptionThe ornate brownstone headstone of Susanna Jepson is in the foreground. The inscription reads: "In Memory of / Mrs. Susanna Jepson / Wife of / Doct. William Jepson / Who departed this Life / Jany 1st A.D. 1772 / Aged 32 Years." Additional eighteenth-century stones in the background are those of Mrs. Hepzibah Collyer, Capt. Thomas Collyer and Col. Nathan Payson. Trees, rooftops and chimneys are in the background, beyond the graveyard wall.
