DescriptionInfant girl's baptismal dress of white cotton, with machine-embroidered whitework yoke and sleeves. The high, round neckline is edged with bobbin lace. The long sleeves are gathered at the shoulder; the wrist openings are edged with bobbin lace. The bodice front and back is gathered into the yoke and into the waistband, which is embroidered with whitework flowers. The very long skirt is embroidered in a floral and leaf design matching the yoke and sleeves for a depth of nine inches above the 3 3/4-inch-deep hem. The center back opening is about nineteen inches long and fastens with three buttons on the yoke and two on the waistband.
