DescriptionInfant's chemise of plain white linen. The front and back panels are gathered into a one-inch-wide strip of self-fabric across the top, which creates a broad neckline. The neckline edge is trimmed with narrow bobbin lace. The sleeves are 3 1/2 inches long and are gathered at the shoulder. The sleeves are cut with a square extension, which folds up diagonally to form an underarm gussett. The sleeve openings are trimmed with the narrow bobbin lace. The center back is open for 4 3/4 inches and fastens with a single mother of pearl button at the neckline band.
