DescriptionPhotocopy of a drawing of the Nicola Motto Building at Congress Street and Maple Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. The Renaissance Revival building is seen from the intersection, and its flatiron shape is evident from this perspective. Construction workers are depicted on the roof of the Motto Building, the shorter one to the left, and on the ground on the left. Sawhorses are shown on the sidewalk and the street next to the building, and construction materials are laid out on the sidewalk. Automobiles and a bus are shown on the streets, and there are buildings, utility poles, and traffic lights in the background.
NotesDate Note: Many of the buildings on Congress Street underwent rehabilitation work in the 1980s, and the presence of construction workers and equipment in the image suggests that this is what is being depicted.
