DescriptionCream-colored silk satin side-lacing boots, with rounded square toe and short Louis heel with continuous sole. The uppers are stitched of three pieces: the toe cap, and two side pieces, joined with a center front seam and a center back seam. The side piece on the inside of the boot is slit, with eleven pairs of worked eyelets for the lacing. The original laces are with the boots (although they are currently incorrectly laced); one lace per boot, of plaited cream-colored silk, with one slender brass tip. The slit is backed with a matching satin tongue. The satin upper is lined with plain-woven cotton; the sock lining is white leather. The soles are made for right and left feet. It is punched on the bottom with little dots forming the letters "gg."
