DescriptionScenes from the early childhood of Walter Cantarow (1947-1999), including birthday parties, a nursery school, a day camp, and family vacations. Walter and other children, including African-American children, play in the snow, on the beach, and at playgrounds. They ride bicycles, run races, fish, play ball, eat cake and ice cream, drink juice, go boating, and play with toys, including toy guns. Automobiles and a school bus appear in some segments. Locations include the Cantarow home in Bolton [?]; Chapman Beach in Westbrook; Camp Oxoboxo, probably in Montville; and Point o' Woods in Old Lyme.
