DescriptionTennis players on courts. A high wire fence is in the left background. A man, probably a referee, sits on a ladder in the center between the nets. Spectators, including many women, sit on bleachers built into the side of a hill. Steps lead up the hill to a shingled building with a large porch, probably the clubhouse. Automobiles and additional spectators, some with umbrellas or parasols, are at the top of the hill.
