DescriptionA green paper folder holding views of the aftermath of a hurricane that struck the Hartford area on 21 September 1938. Several views show fallen trees and limbs on unidentified streets. Several images show automobiles, and there are some houses visible in the background. Floodwaters of the Connecticut River at the mouth of the Park River are shown, with the Colt dome and Dutch Point power station visible in the distance. Streets shown include Sisson Avenue and Sheldon Street (near the Hartford Electric Light Co. building at #410). Also, garages behind Wethersfield Avenue homes are shown.
