DescriptionA portrait of a woman identified as Hattie Norton, the namesake of Hattie Jane Bugbee. Three images of a woman, Hattie Jane Bugbee, or Bugbey, including one where she is wearing a hat and bathing suit. In another image, she is standing with her back to the camera with two other women. There is a house in the background, and a man and a little girl in the foreground. In the fifth image, she is standing with two other women and two men, identified as Mr. Lewis, Mrs. Warner, Mrs. Lewis, Miss Bugbee [or Bugbey], and Mr. Warner.
NotesSubject Note: Hattie Bugbee worked for The Travelers insurance Company in Hartford for many years, and for a period of time lived at the same address as her sister and brother-in-law at 2 Deerfield, and later at 6 LeMay in West Hartford, Connecticut.

Historical Note: In inscriptions on verso of #2002.78.1, .2, and .3, Bugbee is spelled "Bugbey".
The Hartford City directories have Hattie's name listed first as "Bugbee"; in later years it changes to "Bugbey".
