DescriptionA Native American man is wearing a knee-length robe of printed cloth over a printed tunic. He wears a knotted bandana and a string with three crescent-shaped ornaments, possibly British officers' gorgets, around his neck. On his head, he wears a cap or turban decorated with black and white feather plumes; long beaded earrings hang from his ears. He wears moccasins on his feet and leggings or gaiters on his legs. He stands with his arms crossed. In the background a large American flag flies over a fort. Two people are under palm trees at the right. A rock is in the right foreground.
