DescriptionA man and a woman stand at the right, facing a marble monument with a high rectangular base surmounted by an urn or lamp. The man wears a coat with wide lapels, a shirt, a necktie, and trousers. He holds a top hat in his right hand. The woman wears a bonnet and a black dress with a V-shaped waistline and a lace collar and cuffs. She holds a handkerchief in her left hand. Her right hand rests on the man's left arm. A small boy kneels in front of the couple. The monument is inscribed: "IN / MEMORY / OF". A willow tree arches overhead. Roses grow beside the monument and beneath the tree.
