DescriptionA six-point stag stands in a clearing surrounded by trees, grass, and flowers. A steep cliff is in the left background.
NotesSubject Note: This chromolithograph is a reproduction of the central portion of Sir Edwin Landseer's painting, The Monarch of the Glen. This image of a stag served as the logo of The Hartford Insurance Company, presumably because a deer--or hart--appears on the seal of the city of Hartford.
