DescriptionThree-story brick commercial building on paved street. A sign on the roof reads "Stern Building". Six delivery trucks are in front with their drivers. The men wear jackets and caps, one wears an apron and some have pants tucked into high boots. An electric street lamp is on a cement sidewalk near a newly planted, probably privet, hedge. Inscription on back: "Hartford: Stern & Co." An Italianate style building with a parked automobile is at a street intersection on the left.
NotesSubject Note: Francis E. Stern, owner of Stern and Company, dealt in sporting goods at 308 Asylum Street from 1920 to 1927. In 1929, the company became a wholesale dealer of radio parts located at the Stern Building, 210 Chapel Street.
