DescriptionBrick commercial building under construction with large sign "This Building being erected for Stern & Co. Inc. Wholesale Radio Exclusively". Group of men wearing suits and ties with workmen wearing overalls and shirts pose in front of and in windows of the building. Some men hold masonry tools and one is on a ladder. A pile of bricks and bags are on the left, a cement tough is on the right near a pile of dirt and excavated pit. An automobile with license plate "P-5734" is parked at a cement sidewalk.
NotesSubject Note: Francis E. Stern, owner of Stern and Company, dealt in sporting goods at 308 Asylum Street from 1920 to 1927. In 1929, the company became a wholesale dealer of radio parts located at the Stern Building, 210 Chapel Street.
