DescriptionTwo men in mustaches and overalls in factory with windows on two walls and timber joists. Man on right with stack of brushes is installing handles using benchtop clamp machine. A gas fixture hangs near window on right. On left are wood crates and paper boxes. Advertising and calendars on back wall include "[Qu]een [Ins. Co. of America, New York["; on right wall "Ayers Hair Vigor. Restore natural color to faded and gray hair. ... promotes its ... cant growth".
NotesSubject Note: In 1886, Standard Brush Co manufactured a variety of "solid back brushes" using palmetto fibre, bristles and tampico. In 1914 they were located off Bridge Street.
