DescriptionInterior of industrial factory with wood floor, windows on two brick walls and row of support columns. Men, some wearing aprons, stand at long work benches, each having machinery at either end and manufacturing tools and lamps. In foreground is table with tools on top and piece of leather on the right. On left behind columns is leather belt machinery and a stack of leather.
NotesSubject Note: Pliny Jewell, a tanner, established in 1848, chartered 1880, organized in 1883, the Jewell Belting Co. of 15 Trumbull Street and Hicks Avenue which produced leather belting for heavy machinery.
