DescriptionIndustrial masonry brick factory building with flat-topped center cupola and three-story projecting addition on right. Tall ladder is against building on right next to barrels, lumber and bricks. In front is one story board and batten building with ventilating shaft on roof. At right is dirt road with stone wall and rail on left.
NotesSubject Note: J. D. Stowe and Son operated a paper mill in the Scitico section of Enfield from 1873 until around 1905 producing manila paper, wrapping, tobacco and counter paper. After the factory burned in 1905, only part of it was used until 1925 making leatherboard.
