DescriptionInterior of industrial building with windows on either side, wood ceiling with joists with long pipe which apparently is turned by belt and gear at right; also what appears to be chute drawn up. Long divided tables with wooden Windsor chairs have boxes and piles of metal objects. Each station has swing-arm lamp, bins under counter, and most have tacked up notes, prints and photographs of women.
NotesSubject Note: George J. Capewell operated a factory in Cheshire until 1883 when he moved it to Hartford. It does not appear that the company was known as the Capewell Horse Nail Co. before its move to Hartford.
