DescriptionThree-story brick industrial building with a cupola. Trolley tracks run down the center of Market Street in the foreground and turn the corner onto Morgan Street, on the right. Trolley wires run overhead. Utility poles line Market Street and a street light hangs from a pulley at the left. An iron fence is at the far right. Notes on back: "Cheney Brothers (Silk Manufacturers) Mill at the corner (northeast) of Morgan & Market Streets...It has been bought by the N.Y.N.Haven Htfd. R.R. Co. & the building will be removed to make place for a freight car storage yard." "Cheney Bros took over (or built) this mill in 1854 for their ribbon making operation."
