DescriptionLarge group of men, women, boys and girls pose in and around two electric trolley cars. Most wear hats. Some hold American flags. One woman at right holds a parasol. Drivers and conductors wear uniforms. Signs on the cars read: "Bristol" "B. & P.T. Co." "Lake Compounce." The large two-story frame building in the background with porches on both floors appears to be a hotel. Inscribed in image: "First Cars at Compounce over...Aug. 12 '95." Note on back: "Mrs. Smith."
