DescriptionHorse-drawn wagons and carriages in front of commercial buildings on the west side of Main Street. Men, women, and boys sit in the vehicles and stand on the sidewalk. Some figures, including two women in crinolines, are blurred from movement. The store at the left has signs that read: "Lee, Sisson & Co. / Wholesale Druggists / 259." and "Medicines, Paints, Oils & Co." Boxes and barrels are on the sidewalk in front of the store. The alley to the right is paved with cobblestones. The brick commercial building on the right has signs that read: "Books" "Wm. Jas. Hamersley / Books & Stationery" "Photograph albums" "Gail Hamilton's New Book / Gala Days" "House & Brown / Book Publishers" "Bolles & [Roberts] / Looking Glasses."
