DescriptionLaborers at work with shovels on trolley tracks. Men in suits and hats look on. Horse-drawn vehicles, including a delivery wagon, are parked beside the sidewalk on the far side of Main Street. Most of the commercial buildings have striped awnings. Signs read: "H.H. Willes" "Geo. H. Weeks" "The Standard Tea House / [John] H. McGuire" "Hartford Butter Co." "James Dolin" "Goodell & Richm[ond?]" The gothic spire of Christ Church is visible in the background. Inscribed on back: "Top of Morgan St. at Main, looking south."
NotesSubject Note: Henry H. Willes ran an art, picture and framing store at 1013 Main Street. James F. Dolin ran a saloon at 1027 Main Street. George H. Weeks was a tobacconist at 1015 Main Street.
