DescriptionTwo views, one of the exterior, and one of the interior of the Connecticut State Building at the International Exhibition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1876. Men and women stand outside the building, which is a half-timbered cottage with the Connecticut State Seal and the word "CONNECTICUT" above the porch. A well with a long well-sweep is in the foreground. A picket fence is in the background. An arch and another half-timbered building are to the right. The interior features a fireplace with a musket over the mantelpiece, a spinning wheel, a rocking chair, a Windsor chair, a tallcase clock, several paintings, several dead birds, a chandelier, and a balcony.
