DescriptionDriver in uniform and passengers in an electric bus parked at the side of a New York City Street. A second uniformed man stands behind the driver. All of the men and women are wearing hats. Two boys, one of them wearing knickers and carrying three flat packages, stand on the sidewalk behind the vehicle. Inscribed on back: "1911 / Sightseeing in New York City / 2nd row from rear / l.r. Lafayette J. [Robertson] Jr. / J. Russell Robertson / Annie L. Robertson / Martin B. Robertson."
NotesSubject Note: The Robertsons lived at 73 Church Street, Hartford. Lafayette Robertson, Sr. (not in picture) was a farmer. Annie L. Robertson was a teacher of domestic science at Hartford Public High School. In 1911, Lafayette Jr. and Martin were students.
