DescriptionTwo portraits of Hiram Percy Maxim. In one photograph he is wearing headphones and holding a pipe in one hand and a piece of paper with the words "THE AMERICAN RADIO RELAY LEAGUE / RADIOGRAM" in the other hand. A telephone is on a table in front of him. A filing cabinet and what presumably is a radio transmitter and receiver is on the table in back of him. An electric clock, framed, certificates, and a framed aerial photograph are on the wall. In the other photograph, he is speaking into a speaking tube attached to what appears to be some kind of cinematographic apparatus. In both photographs he has a mustache, is seated, and is wearing a suit jacket, shirt, and necktie.
NotesDate Note: Maxim established the American Radio Relay League in 1914 and died in 1936.
