DescriptionYoung men wearing suits are seated around a table which is draped and divided into compartments containing plaster casts. Some of the men draw on sketch pads held on their laps. Others sit at a table containing papers and books. A man with a mustache, probably the teacher, stands behind one of the students looking at his drawing. Electric light bulbs hang from the ceiling on wires.
NotesSubject Note: The Hillyer Institute was the Educational Department of the Hartford YMCA. The YMCA was located at 315-323 Pearl Street, at the corner of Jewell Street.
