DescriptionGroup of young men standing beside tables on which generators and other electrical apparatus are arranged. The men wear suits. Some wear bow ties. One has a mustache. Electric light bulbs with shades hang from the ceiling on wires. A ladder leading to an upper story is visible behind a paneled partition.
NotesSubject Note: The Hillyer Institute was the Educational Department of the Hartford YMCA. The YMCA was located at 315-323 Pearl Street, at the corner of Jewell Street.
