DescriptionTwo horses hitched to a wagon. One man is in the driver's seat. Another stands beside the wagon. Two women stand behind it. All four people appear to be wearing national costume, possibly from Alsace-Lorraine in eastern France or western Germany. The women are wearing tight fitting short coats and hats and white aprons over ankle-length skirts. The men are wearing hats, short jackets and boots. The house in the background is a two-story frame structure with a front porch. There is a large arbor at the right, a picket fence in front and a small barn in the right background.
