DescriptionMan in hat, coat and high boots with two oxen in front of stone retaining wall. Women in buttoned coat, dark gloves and hat standing on the wall with large dog, possibly a mastiff. View probably taken late fall; there are no leaves on large tree in front of house. One and a half story wood clapboard cape style house with nine over six double hung windows and louvered shutters, attached one-story addition to left with deep roof over door and Victorian support brackets. Flat porch roof with three stylized support columns of ganged boards and possibly gothic revival motif covering two entry doors each with five-light transom. Brick chimneys on each section of house and basement windows in foundation. Two and a half story vertical clad barn to left of house has double hung windows on 2nd floor, some boarded over, and brick chimney.
