DescriptionSix members of the S. B. Day family at side of two story Greek Revival house. Two bearded men and two women with one boy and one child. Seated man with beard and suspenders has newspaper on lap. Man standing wears long jacket and watch chain. One woman wears an apron; one woman holds a palm fan. Front door is on left of gable end facade with square columns supporting roof. Small porch above has solid rail with shaped top. Louvered shutters on house. Ell addition on left side of house has porch with open fretwork in Chippendale Revival style. Stone retaining wall to left of ell and recess in foundation. To left of open recess is an attached vertical sided barn with large opening, small windows and set of stairs inside to the right. What appears to be a large metal basin is on the ell porch roof and a towel is hanging from an ell window. There is a stone fence to the right of the front facade. Chimneys on main house and ell are both brick.
