DescriptionSchoolchildren and two women teachers in front of one story double gabled brick Classic Revival building. A porch with Victorian brackets has been enclosed with vertical boards. There are trees in the yard and a rail fence in the background. Class is mixed ages with both boys and girls; some are barefoot. There appears to be two, possibly four, African Americans at the right of the group. One boy, mid first row, has a black eye. Inscription on back: "A. S. Frost" "Cheshire?"
