DescriptionTwo-story Federal style clapboard residence. Windows have louvered shutters. The gable end front is to the left. A one and a half story barn appears attached to the right. Man sits on ground petting a longhaired dog with young man standing beside him in a striped shirt, suspenders and wide brimmed hat. A woman with apron stands in background near the house with a piece of cloth in her hand. There is a picket fence and stone wall behind house on the left. In front of the barn, there is a barrel in an open doorway, tools leaning next to the door and milk cans upturned on a wood rack with vines growing on it. Inscription on back: "S. J. Bissell" ; "Washington, Logan Dist. 4"
