DescriptionSmall girl and barefoot boy seated on a stone wall at left. Wall joins picket fence that extends in front of the house. A woman holding a hat is immediately behind the fence. A man in a suit stands beside the house. A boy and dog, blurred from movement, are on a horse. Behind the man is a covered pump. Between him and the woman is a rack, possibly used for hanging game or slaughtered livestock. A hammock hangs between two trees at the right. Two tall hemlocks (?) are beside the front door and potted plants are grouped beside the house. Barns and other outbuildings are on the left.
