DescriptionWoman's white cotton above-knee-length slip or nightgown. The high waist (measuring about 3 1/2 inches at the side) is gathered on a silk ribbon drawstring woven in and out of machine-embroidered insertion. The center front is appliquéd with lace in the form of a bow, with the fabric behind cut away. The neckline is very wide and is gathered with a silk ribbon woven in and out of machine-made lace insertion. The neckline and armholes are edged with machine-made Valenciennes lace. The center back of the slip skirt is gathered into the waistline. The four-inch-deep self-fabric ruffle on the bottom of the slip is trimmed with a strip of lace insertion (with a pattern of bows) and lace edging.
