DescriptionWoman's nightgown of white cotton. The body is gathered into a shoulder yoke, front and back. The neckline is high and round. The center front is open for sixteen inches. Below this, it continues in a pleat to the hem. The opening fastens with a small mother of pearl button about half way down, and with self-fabric ties at the neck. The slightly full sleeves are eased into the armscye and gathered into a 1 1/2-inch-wide cuff at the wrist. The cuff closes with a metal hook and thread eye. The shoulder yoke, neckline, armscyes, and wrist cuffs are all piped. The yoke is lined with self-fabric. The hem is 2 1/4 inches deep. The nightgown is finely stitched, though plain.
