DescriptionDrawing of the Queensboro Bridge in New York City. The bridge's masonry and steel girders are depicted in detail in the foreground, with the distant towers sketched in less detail. There is a barge passing under the bridge on the left.
NotesSubject Note: This drawing is very similar to one on page 74 of Richard Welling's book, The Technique of Drawing Buildings. This one is likely an earlier version of the one in the book, as there are a few details missing, including automobiles parked under the bridge and on its deck. The one in the book is reproduced from a drawing rendered in a sketchier line than the one used here.

The drawing is also similar to 2012.284.5842. There are subtle differences between them, including the finials atop the towers.

Date Note: The Technique of Drawing Buildings was published in 1971, which suggests that it was drawn before this date.
