DescriptionThe village of Newtown is on a hill in the distance. The Episcopal and Congregational Churches are at the edge of the village at the top of the hill. Trees hide the houses behind the churches. A broad road, with fences on either side, climbs the hill towards the village. A covered wagon is on the road in the foreground. Fields, apparently separated by stone walls, are on either side of the road.
