DescriptionView of the Congregational churches in the central part of Durham. On the green beside the road a man, woman and child stand facing away from town. The church on the left is the new Congregational Church, erected in 1835. To its right is the old Congregational Church. According to Barber's text the old church was taken down a few days after this drawing was made. Houses appear at the left, right and between the two churches.
